The Narmada River is one of the seven holy rivers in Hindu Religion. Worshipped as a Goddess, the river is a life source to thousands of people. Parikrama is a holy pilgrimage in which people travel in a clockwise direction and return to their starting point. This journey is completed to attain the blessings of the divine. Narmada Parikrama is a pious pilgrimage for Hindus. Devotees travel to various points of the Narmada River. They pray to the river and the holy temples on its banks. The almost 4000 kilometers journey cleanses your body, mind and soul.

ITINERARY DETAILS

DAY 01 : ARRIVEL IN INDORE TO BEGIN NARMADA PARIKRAMA – UJJAIN

The Narmada Parikrama Yatra starts from Indore. Our representative arranges pickup from Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International airport in Indore and transfer to Ujjain.
Check-in to your hotel and explore the city on your own. Ujjain is one of the holy ancient cities.
Located on the eastern banks of Kshipra River in Madhya Pradesh, the city is the home of holy temples. The famous Shiva temples of Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar and Kaal Bhairav are the most visited temples. The Hindu gathering of devotees for holy bath occurs in the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, held in the city every 12 years. Pious devotes visit the place all around the year.
Return back and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 02 : UJJAIN

Start the 2nd day of your yatra with a breakfast. After your bath, visit the holy Ujjain temples.
Start with darshan and conduct pooja (prayers) at the Mahakaleshwar Temple and Kaal Bhairav Temple. The Mahakaleshwar Temple is an important pilgrimage place for Hindus. Considered as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, it is a revered site.
The temple is also regarded as one of the Tantra temples of India. The Kaal Bhairav Temple worships the fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva associated with destruction. King Bhadrasen, built the holy temple on the banks of Kshipra River. The temple is the prominent worship site for the Kapalika and Aghora sects. Believed to be the guardian deity of the Ujjain town, devotees take blessings from the fierce lord.
Return for a tea break and some rest in Ujjain. Spend the evening on the River banks or exploring the other revered temples of the city.
Return back and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 03 : PROCEED TO OMKARESHWAR

Today start the day with a delectable fare of Indian dishes. Get ready, check-out of your hotel and leave by road for Omkareshwar at 10 am.
By 12 noon, arrive at Omkareshwar. Omkareshwar is nestled at confluence of Narmada and Kaveri River island shaped as the holy symbol ‘OM’.
Check-in to the hotel for some rest. At 2 pm, enjoy bath in Narmada River followed by boat ride to Triveni Sangam. This site of confluence of three holy rivers is a place where thousands and thousands of devotees assemble to pay reverence to the river goddesses.
Next you visit the Omkareshwar Temple for darshan and pooja. Omkareshwar Temple is situated on the mountain Mandhata by the banks of Narmada River. Here lies one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.
The shrine is a North Indian style of stone-architecture embellished with beautiful carvings.
Enjoy evening tea at the hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure.
Visit the other temples in the holy city.
Return back and stay overnight in hotel .

DAY 04 : PROCEED TO KHARGONE THEN SHAHADA

Start your day with an early morning breakfast. Later depart for Khargone at 8 am. By 12 noon reach the city. Khargone is situated at the bank of Kunda River. The city is famous for cotton and chili pepper production. The lands are carpeted in chilies laid to dry. Here you will visit the well known as Navgraha Mandir. The temple is devoted to the Nava Grahas, nine celestial beings responsible for destiny of human, birth, life and death. These nine planets have great importance in Hinduism and Hindu rituals. Proceed towards Shahada at 1.30 pm.
After the 4 hrs drive, you reach the place.
Check-in the hotel for tea break. This small town in Maharashtra is quite famous for its education facilities. Here you will visit the Dakshin Kashi, a religious village and Prakasha village, an important archaeological excavation site.
Return back and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 05 : PROCEED TO ANKLESHWAR

Following an early morning breakfast, leave by road for Ankleshwar.
By 1 pm, you will arrive in the city. Check-in at the hotel.
The industrious town of Ankleshwar is located in the Baruch district of Gujarat. It is thriving city as its part of GIDC (Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation).
Enjoy lunch and then rest. You can also visit the local temple. Shri Ankleshwar Tirth is in the vicinity. Here there are clusters of Jain temples and a huge idol of Bhagwan Chintamani Parsvanath.
Relish a tea break at 4 pm. After tea, leave for Vamleshwar Katpur.
It is situated at the confluence of Holy River Narmada and Arabian Sea.
This is a vital point which must be visited during Narmada Parikrama tour. Stay overnight in hotel at Ankleshwar.

DAY 06 : MITHI TALAI – BHARUCH – BARODA

Start your day early and leave your hotel at Ankleshwar. Drive to Mithi Talai. It is the site where River Narmada mingles into the Arabian Sea. The water here is known to be sweet in taste.
On the after one hour drive driver will drop you at the boating point. From there guest will catch the boat to reach Mithitalai. And driver will lead to Mithitalai and pickup you to other side.
Later you will stop at Nareshwar Dham. Here is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This beautiful temple is placed on the banks of holy Narmada.
By afternoon arrive in Baroda, also known as Vadodara. Check-in to the hotel and some rest.
Evening is at your leisure. You can easily sightsee on your own. Some of the places worth visiting are Laxmi Niwas Palace, Kirti Stambh and Sayaji Baug.
Stay overnight in hotel at Baroda.

DAY 07 : PROCEED TO JHABUA

The seventh day of your tour starts with early morning breakfast. Then proceed on a road trip towards Jhabua.
By noon, arrive at Jhabua and check-in the hotel.
Once the capital of a Princely state of the British Raj’s Central India, Jhabua is also known as White Gold. It is blessed with rich variety of black cotton soil. Visit some beautiful tourist destinations such as Deojhiri, Kathiwada and Bhabhara.
Stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 08 : JHABUA – MANDU – BHOPAL

Following an early morning breakfast, going way to Jhabua, a local sightseeing tour of Mandu. Mandu lies forgotten in the pages of history. Testifying the love story between poet prince ‘Baaz Bahadur’ and his beautiful wife ‘Rani Roopmati’, the ruined city has numerous tales to tell.
Some popular attractions of Mandu include Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Baaz Bahadur’s Palace, Roopmati’s Pavilion and Jami Masjid.
After sightseeing, depart for Bhopal. Take a lunch break and continue your journey. By 5.30 pm arrive in the city followed by check-in at the hotel. Known as the ‘City of Lakes’, Bhopal is the second largest city in Madhya Pradesh.
Attractions like Laxmi Narayan Temple, Moti Masjid, Shaukat Mahal and Taj-ul-Masjid draws visitors to the city.
Stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 09 : PROCEED TO JABALPUR EN-ROUTE RAJMARG

Start the day with breakfast. Proceed to Jabalpur for the day.
By afternoon you will arrive in Rajmarg for lunch.
After some rest, visit the Barman, the sacred junction of the Nerbudda and Warahi rivers. This place hosts a large fair. Visit the two main Ghats, Brahman Ghat and Ret Ghat.
Later, continue your journey towards Jabalpur. On the way, visit the Shankaracharya Temple. This is the place where Jagatguru Shankracharya Joytesh & Dwarkadish Pithadheshwar Saraswati Maharaj meditates & worship. On the Basant Panchami occasion here 7 days Mela organized.
Arrive in Jabalpur by 6 pm. Check-in at hotel and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 10 : JABALPUR

After breakfast in the morning, start a sightseeing tour in Jabalpur.
Start with Bedaghat, a popular place to enjoy a memorable boat ride on the waters of Narmada River through the marble rocks.
Next travel to Tewar village, located just 12 kilometers away from Bedaghat. Here you visit the Tripur Sundari Temple featuring a statue of divine goddess ‘Tripur Sundari Devi’ who is said to have emerged from ground. Also visit Gwarighat on the banks of Narmada River which is a holy place where Sikh Guru Nanak had preached. Also explore the 11th century Madan Mahal Fort. Commissioned by 38th Gond ruler, Raja Madan Shah, the spectacular structure offers a spending view of the city. Return back and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 11 : JABALPUR – UMARIA – AMARKANTAK

Start the day with breakfast. Later you proceed to Amarkantak. Stop for some rest in Umaria. After rest, continue with the journey. By evening, arrive in Amarkantak.
Check-in the hotel and enjoy a tea break.
The beautiful city of Amarkantak also known as Tirthraj or “king of pilgrimages” offers attractions to keep you busy. The city has scenic beauty being the meeting point of lush green Vindhya and Satpura Range and origin of numerous rivers.
Get ready to visit Kapildhara and other temples. Kapildhara waterfall is a 100 feet fall situated 6 kilometers northwest of Narmadakund.
After a well spent evening return back and stay overnight in hotel.

DAY 12 : AMARKANTAK – DINDORI

After breakfast, invoke blessings with Pooja at Mai ki Bagiya. Located just 1 kilometer away from Narmadakund, Mai Ki Bagiya was constructed in the honor of the goddess Narmada. The holy place has several fruit trees of mango, banana and others. Later, proceed on a sightseeing tour of Narmada Kund. Dedicated to Mata Narmada. It is one of the 51 shaktipeethas. Painted in white color, the holy spot inspires faith in the divine. Return back to the hotel for lunch.
After lunch proceed to Dindori.
By evening, reach your destination and check-in the hotel.
The serene village has no special attraction but it’s pleasant to walk around.
Stay overnight in hotel at Dindori.

DAY 13 : DINDORI – LAKHNADON – PIPARYA

Start your day with breakfast after, which you going in by road for Lakhnadon.
Afternoon arrive in Lakhnadon, here you take halt for lunch.
After lunch, continue your journey towards Piparya.
En-route, visit Jyoteshwar temple followed by tea break at Narsimhpur.
On reaching, overnight stay in hotel at Piparya.

DAY 14 : PIPARYA – INDORE

Start your day with breakfast after, you going in by road for Indore.
On reaching in Indore, Narmada yatra are complete and drop at Indore railway station.
